Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1115 sponsors an Annual Memorial Day Flea Market/Festival during the Memorial Day weekend. During this Flea Market/Festival, unlike the Labor Day FLEA MARKET, food vendors are also allowed inside the compound. We are the site of the oldest and largest Gun Show and Flea Market east of the Mississippi River. We have sponsored this show for 43 years, and we are still getting stronger. Sponsored by VFW Grover King Post 1115, one of the leading war veteran organizations, this event has been around since 1968. The flea market starts on Friday and goes on until Monday. During the four-day run of the market, the quaint town of Hillsville transforms into a bustling hub, drawing in antique hunters from all over the Carroll County and southwestern Virginia. Decorations, jewelry, home appliances, electronics are just a few of the deals you can get at the VFW Hillsville Flea Market. As you browse hundreds of stalls set up by the vendors, you'll have a chance to witness the gun show, annually held by the flea market organizers. Hundreds of unique gun models, vintage rifles, and antique firearms are displayed in a separate section at the market grounds. Local food vendors will also offer numerous snacks and refreshing beverages to keep you full and hydrated during your treasure hunt. |
